Sail Panels

Removal and Installation

Removal - 84-85 models

There are only three screws that hold in the sail panel. If you open the driver door, there is one screw (philips) that is above the door latch and to the left a bit. There is a 7mm bolt that holds the bottom trim and the sail panel together near the floor, and a T-47 torx bolt that holds the upper part of the seatbelt on. After all of the screws and bolts are removed, there is a clip that is about halfway between the philips screw that was removed and the ceiling. It is difficult to remove, but it should pull out towards the front of your car.

Removal - 86-88 models

Removal is the same as the 84-85 models, but you will have to disconnect the electrical connector from the speakers in the sail panels to remove them.
