CATEGORIES FOR THE FLORIDA FIERO WEEKEND AT DAYTONA

Fieros entered in the Show will be separated into a class within
one of six groups based upon the criteria outlined in this Section.
A group generally represents cars within a reasonable range of the
same level of preparedness for a show. These groups provide a level
of competition that is both fair and reasonable for the entrants.
The judges must evaluate individual cars that vary in age, design,
degree of customization, and/or modification, and the amount of
regular usage. Cars will be as assigned to classes as follows: |
Judging Class |
Description |
Stock |
Stock means
100% OEM. There will be no tech inspections - judges are
knowledgeable.Reproduction or
replacement parts that are intended to look and function like the
original GM parts will be considered stock for classification
purposes at this event.

Custom |
Custom is defined as any minor
non-mechanical change and/or some minor mechanical changes to the
Fiero. Examples are after market wheels, bolt on side scoops,
non-stock paint, non-stock interior pieces, after market sound
system, running lights, etc. Minor mechanical changes include brake
modifications/conversions, drop spindles or cut springs, coilover
struts, short shifters and other minor mechanical changes.

Modified |
Modified is defined as major mechanical changes.
Major mechanical changes are engine/transaxle conversions or
suspension transplants from other vehicles. Cars in this class may
have both major mechanical and major body changes.

SPECIALTY |
Specialty will be kit cars and Meras.

Street/Display Class |
Street/Display is defined for
those who drive their cars regularly and wish to participate in the
Fiero Show, but do not have the interest or time to maintain and
detail their car to the same standards as the "show cars." This
class is also for owners that wish to be a part of the show but do
not want to be judged. |

Also classes will be eligible for
specialty awards. |
